Diane GerardiDiane's insistence on meticulous workmanship sets her apart from many of today's designers. The final few details of a design can be just as time consuming as the main body of a project and this requires a designer with vast commitment to perfection.

Building her client relationships on trust and transparency, Diane believes clients must be ready for an active and fun experience — and prides herself on her intuitive ability to understand her clients' tastes and needs. Creating a great home should be a joy and an adventure.

With a deep appreciation for a variety of architectural styles and a keen understanding of her clients' lifestyles, Diane seeks to balance clients' multiple needs for functional family space and sophistication through interpretive and collaborative design.

Diane believes a home should offer clients a daily source of stability, serenity and visual joy – and that the secret to a great design is the interplay between all visual and lifestyle elements

Born and raised in New York City, Diane continues to reside on the Upper West Side, which suits her desire to surround her life with the style of classical architecture and have access to the vibrancy and currency of an ever-evolving city.

Diane studied fashion design at The Fashion Institute of Technology and graduated with a BA from the Parsons School of Design. Then her real design education began with almost two decades of hands-on residential design experience. Her extensive background in fashion was a natural segue into the interior design world as her eye for detail, composition and fun re-interpretation emerged.

Under her own design firm, Diane has managed diverse projects including various architectural styles. Among these are many traditional estates in Greenwich, Palm Beach and the Hamptons as well as significant Manhattan residences. She has also been featured in industry magazines, and on HGTV's “House Hunters Renovation”.
